2021 is coming in hot!2020 may be behind us -- here's how it went for me -- but 2021 has started with its own craziness. Vaccine distribution and new vaccine releases are making things hopeful, but we still have a few months to go before we're in the clear. Keep safe! Some music recommendationsMusic is something among my favorites that I don't post enough of, so I decided to try and remedy that as I put together my year in review with some great songs I listened to this past year. How To with John WilsonSince my dad totally had to see the new Wonder Woman movie, I got HBO Max for just the month for us to use as a family. He told me it wasn't as good as the first one, but I did manage to find a few good things to watch: Richard Jewell was pretty good, and I really enjoyed How To with John Wilson, a new series recently released. It's produced by Nathan Fielder of Nathan For You fame. From it, you'll learn how to make small talk, improve your memory, split the check, cover your furniture, and more through the eyes of John Wilson as he gets advice from the people of New York. It's not your standard documentary, it's more of a comedy show than a documentary series. David Byrne's American UtopiaAnother great new release on HBO Max: American Utopia, the live concert from David Byrne (Talking Heads frontman) that toured a couple of years ago and then ran on Broadway. I've been getting more and more into his music over the years and really wanted to go to this concert, so it was great to see they did a recording of it (and directed by Spike Lee). I also found out it's coming back to Broadway this year, so I may get another chance to see it live! You've signed up for Ovi's updates to get this email. |
